Writing Up Qualitative Research

Date: Thu 22 Jun 2017, 1:00pm–3:00pm / Places left: 10 / Price: $95.00 + GST / Format: Online

Writing up qualitative research can be challenging for researchers. It’s often hard to know where or when to start, and transforming the rich and often unwieldy material into a presentable written form may be difficult. This online course will cover tips and tricks for managing this process, as well as techniques for getting started, and even more importantly – keeping going, especially when it feels like you’re going around in circles or making limited progress. There will be guidance on representing the researcher’s voice within your writing, as well as practical ideas for working with NVivo outputs and effective use of verbatim extracts. This course is aimed at those who are new to writing up qualitative data or more experienced researchers who are looking for some guidance and new ideas for the writing process.

This interactive training course will be presented by an experienced qualitative researcher, and will incorporate real-life examples of research throughout. Attendees will have opportunities to ask questions, submit comments and participate in quizzes and other exercises during the session in order to maximise learning opportunities.

We use the GoToWebinar platform to deliver our online courses. You will receive an email from GoToWebinar, 3–4 days before the event date – this will contain your unique link to attend on the day.
