Location: Auckland CBD / Offsite | Type: Contract | Start: Immediate

We’re currently looking for an experienced proofreader to join our team. This will be a casual position, with a focus on helping out during our busy times of year. We’re looking for someone with:

  • At least 2 years’ academic proofreading/editing experience
  • An extensive knowledge of English mechanics, grammar and usage
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word’s tracked changes
  • The ability to accurately and consistently maintain a high level of attention to detail for extensive time periods
  • Familiarity with academic writing requirements
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work on multiple jobs under tight deadlines
  • A proofreading or editing qualification (highly desirable – but not a must)

We’re currently looking for an experienced research assistant to join our team. This will be a casual position, with a focus on helping out during our busy times of year. We’re looking for someone with some or all of the following:

  • At least 2 years' experience as a researcher/research assistant
  • Qualitative data analysis skills, in particular coding qualitative data (preferably with some transcription experience)
  • Quantitative data analysis skills, in particular calculating descriptive statistics (preferably with some experience of statistical testing)
  • Familiarity with data analysis software in particular NVivo and/or SPSS
  • Familiarity with reference management software
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work on multiple jobs under tight deadlines
  • A postgraduate-level qualification (or currently working towards one)
  • A passion for research, and in particular, someone who is interesting in extending their knowledge of research methods.
